Bookstack is a place to keep track of the books you’re reading, want to read, and have finished, along with quotes, reviews, and other book-related things.
We keep your privacy pretty simple.
What we collect
When you sign in to Bookstack using Google, we receive and store:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile photo (avatar) URL
We also store the information you choose to add to Bookstack, such as books, quotes, reviews, and other content associated with your account.
How we use your information
We use this information to create and maintain your Bookstack account, provide the features of the service, display your profile and content, and communicate with you when necessary.
We don’t sell your personal information.
Bookstack uses Google to authenticate your account. Google handles the sign-in process, and Bookstack receives the basic account information described above. Your Google password is never provided to or stored by Bookstack.
Hosting
Bookstack is hosted by DreamHost. As with most websites, our hosting provider may collect standard technical information such as IP addresses and server logs as part of operating and securing the service.
Your account
You can contact us if you have questions about your information or would like your Bookstack account and associated personal information deleted.
Changes
If we make significant changes to this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
